Mike is a director of Aquismart and has 27 years experience in financial management, focussing mainly on cost and management accounting in the mining industry. He is now one of the most respected experts in operational management on mines in South Africa.
Mike started his career as a learner official with Harmony Gold Mine in 1985. He finished his National Diploma in Accounting at Wits in 1991 and after national service remained with Harmony Gold Mine until 2005. During this period of around 20 years he completed his CIS and was involved with both financial and management accounting roles both at corporate and operational levels.
Boetie is a director of Aquismart and has 33 years financial experience, ranging from auditing to financial management, of which 23 years were in the mining industry.
Boetie started his career in the audit profession and completed his articles in 1984. In 1988 he joined the mining industry and during this time he has been involved in numerous value adding projects.
Andri has been working in the Human Resources field for the past 13 years on an operational and executive level. She has extensive experience in the design and implementation of performance management models, talent and succession management models, and individual and team development. She says: “My focus has always been on aligning Human Resource policies, procedures and strategies with business processes in order to maximise organisational effectiveness and return on investment”.
“I am energised by working with diverse people”. Heidi has been working as an independent consultant across various industries for the last 6 years. She is registered with the HCSA and successfully completed a Masters Degree in Industrial Psychology. She has experience in: conducting assessment, designing competency frameworks, conducting job analysis and designing job profiles, leadership development, team building and improving group dynamics.
Frans started his career in the mining industry studying mining engineering during 1980. After the first year he made a decision to change discipline to the Financial and Management accounting field. He joined the financial discipline at Harmony Gold Mine and qualified himself with a National Diploma in Cost Accounting at the Witwatersrand Tecnikon whilst at the same time studied a B Com Economic degree at Unisa.
